Island Opportunity Charters operates from daylight to dusk, bringing a unique water taxi service between Bellingham and the San Juan Islands.

Island Opportunity Charters will connect people to the islands for recreation, sightseeing, work or to visit family and friends. We can also help get folks from the islands to the Bellingham Airport to catch flights, go to doctors' appointments or just pick up supplies.

We can transport passengers and freight all year round on our main vessel, Opportunity Knots. Please contact us if you are interested in off-season services.

We can provide delivery service to transport goods to and from the San Juan Islands. We can haul up to 3500 pounds on the front deck and about 4,000 pounds in the cab area including passengers. Big or small - you call we haul. Need construction supplies, something from Costco or Amazon more quicky - give us a call. We are here to help.

We can deliver groceries or prescriptions to your location when we plan it with existing runs.

Nothing completes a visit to the island like fresh seafood! Our Captain Mark is also the owner of Barlean's Fisheries in Ferndale, WA and can bring your order directly to the boat or deliver alongside existing runs. We offer smoked salmon, live oysters, fresh salmon & halibut when in season, frozen salmon & halibut out of season, live clams, halibut burgers and scallops.
